I have read all of these reports of Travelers Advantage ripping people off, and I too have somehow gotten into their web.
I have a Chase Master card account too, and I have had many of these charges from Travelers Advantage show up on my bill over the past 3 years. I continue to call the Travelers Advantage customer service department, and Chase, to dispute these charges yet charges keep re-appearing. Today I have another $79.99 charge to my account.
Only in reading other folk's "rip-off" stories did I realize these companies are in this together. What is going on? Surely someone can stop this. It's immoral unethical and surely illegal. We do need a class action here.
By the way, my Chase bill this month announces they are new affiliates with Bank One. Bank One cardholders beware, you may be on the Travlers Advantage radar screen now.
