Very disappointed in this school, the principal seems to try, but the vice principal does not seem to be able to come to terms with the policies the school has in place for student discipline. My child has been a student at this school for three years. The first two years before the new campus opened there were no problems. Once the new campus opened and
money flowed into the school the "ego's" started to become a problem. Students was given a referral for wearing the last
years uniform at the beginning of the school year (the logo slightly changed), students was sent to in school suspension for wearing the wrong shirt (same logo issue).
Teachers (3rd grade) are unable to guide a student to be successful. Public shaming the students seems to be the
best method. Parents are also ridiculed when they try to stand up for their children, and handbook policies are ignored. This school needs to work with the parents "together" to form a plan to guide children to become successful. If a child is not listening to a teacher or being defiant then its best to work on the problem and not get frustrated with the child pushing them down the path of humiliation and kicking them out of school. My child has not been in any fights or other overt bad
behavior, she just has trouble reading and gets frustrated in class, making her shy away from questions and talking, she also cry's out loud if things are taken from her in a rough manner. For some students 3rd grade is tough.
