John Brandenburg plays basketball with a passion that left him with opportunities to play basketball at several high level division 1 universities before graduating high school.in high school he was ranked among the top 100 players in US by ESPN, NBPA, Rivals.com and Scout.com. While playing Varsity Basketball for DeSmet Jesuit High School, he was captain of the team as a senior. He received full athletic scholarship and went on to play basketball at the University of Virginia. John%u2019s work in the classroom earned him a place on the Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll while at UVA. Today, John Brandenburg plays basketball for Colgate University.
Along with his achievements in sports, John has achieved success in the field of education. He is presently studying for his Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University. With a major in Economics and intended minor in Computer Science, his expected date of graduation is May of next year. John Brandenburg%u2019s basketball passion has also helped him in becoming a part of various extracurricular activities associated with the sport. He is a Representative of the Colgate Men%u2019s basketball team for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at Colgate. As a Brother of the Gamma Omicron Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at Colgate University, he helps recruit new members and participates in philanthropic events on campus.
