I attended Touro University back in 2007. I applied for financial aid and was approved.
Then mid semester the school tells me to resubmit the financial aid under a different school name, which I did. So it went from Touro University International to TUI. The entire time I kept emailing the financial aid coordinator for feedback and was being told that it was being processed. This went on for the entire semester. The Department of Ed sent me a Student Aid Report at the time and said they would forward the school payment.
Touro aka TUI aka Trident sent me a bill although I was eligible for financial aid.instead of getting the funds from the Department of Ed, they spent time changing their name 2 to 3 times.
If the school would have informed me that they did not accept financial aid as a form of payment I would have never attended the school. If the school would have told me that Id have to pay $2400 out of my pocket I would not have attended the school. So basically I believe I was strung along, misled, and falsely billed.
