Dishonest, Misleading, Unorganized, Unprofessional - PEG completely ripped me off, denied that they did anything wrong and refused to give me a refund. Ripoff

In August I was laid-off and although I obtained a new job right away I was very motivated to advance my career. I saw the add that stated "Mid to Upper Level Postions $50,000 - $600,000... If you're searching for a job-or looking for a change-we'll provide you with the best solutions and opportunities for your experince and desired income level." I sent my resume and went in for a meeting with Nick Luebecke in the Parsippany, NJ location.

Nick was even more misleading then the add. I specifically told him that would not be interested in the service if I would just be handed a list of companies to send my resume to because I had done that on my own and would certainly not pay for that service. I told him I wanted to be given contacts and wanted the advisors to search for positions. He assured me that they had very experienced former HR employees that had extensive contacts in many fields and that it would be no problem to place me in a company. He then informed that because of my experience and educational background I would be "easy" to place and because of that I would be charged the lowest fee of $3960.

I should have known better because in our second meeting he then said that the $3960 is just a "retainer" fee and I will have to pay another $2000 if I get a job that will pay me 75K per year with a 7K sign on bonus. Well, unfortunately I fell for it and paid the $3960. The next 6 -7 months were horrible. I was assigned to 4 different advisors because they kept getting fired and I was never called by anyone to inform me of the change of advisor - I found out by leaving a message for my advisor and the new advisor would call me back.

The resume took them almost 6 months to finish because each advisor I had lost it several times and then would email me other client's resumes thinking it was mine. When they finally finished it I was given about 200 copies on plain xerox paper to send out to about 200 companies (I had to stuff the envelopes and buy the stamps). I was devasted that they did not print the resumes on resume paper.

I complained and I was told that "it doesnt matter" but they put it on really low grade resume paper. I did not get one response from any of the companies. My multipler advsiors had not put me in contact with any "real people" only mailings.interestingly, 3 of my advisors all said that mailings don't work! Then they kept telling that I had to do the work and network with people! I told them that I came to them to get the contacts - I didnt pay 4k so that I can go out and network!

I made a complaint to Lawrence Meglin in the Iselin office and his suggestion was to do more mailings and switch my advisor. The last advisor I had spent our entire first meeting telling me about his mentally ill daughter. I never went back after that.

I then sent a letter to Mr. Meglin requesting a full refund based on their incompetence and misleading claims. He sent me a letter indicating that eveything I have said was false and even more interesting he provided me with a document that stated they actually got me a job! The last advisor I had falsified a document in order to support their claim that they GOT ME A JOB!!! They never even got me an interview. Even more humorous is that they took credit for getting me the job that I already had even before I signed on with them!!! You cant get much more dishonest and disorganzied then that!

I then consulted with a lwyer becasue I didnt know what to do. He sent them 2 letters because they would not return his calls. They refused to refund my money and said I would have to take them to court. I would love to but I dont have that kind of money.

Please do not let this happen to you! Everyday I think about the money I wasted and it makes me sick! I would be very interested in joining a class action law suit if others are willing.
