When I first became involved with Bernard Haldane & associates I was experiencing a career crisis. My job was slowly taking all my strength and mental ability. I explained my situation to interviewer and he assured me that for $4500 he could help me get in contact with the decision makers that really do the hiring.
I then had to take home some paperwork to complete for my second interview. When I returned my wife and I were assured that Haldane could help us and after some high pressure closing tactics we were sold. I set up an appointment with my "career advisor" and began a lenthy process of discovering myself and career objectives.
At no time was I given any special names or contacts except those available through magazines and periodicals that are available at the library or Job Service office. After receiving a real snazzy resume I was told to network myself. When I wanted to update the resume I tried to contact Haldane but was told I would need to see my advisor again.
In the mean time I had found a job on Monster.com. The job is a disaster and I contacted my advisor to update my resume and get some advice. All I received was this reply, "I knew you wouldn't like that job' It was not for you" I paid $4000 for nothing but a resume, no career advice and no guidance at a time when I was desperate for anything. They prey on the uninformed and desperate - BUYER BEWARE.
You are not gatting what you pay for with this company. As a side note I have tried several times over the last year to contact my advisor and have not even received a phone call.
