On bellsouth.net there is a free credit check area. When you prompt on it it takes you to consumerinfo.com. When you ask for your free credit report, it takes all of your information and than it asks you for a credit card name number and expiration date. So that it can charge you $9.95 for your free report.
This used to be against the law and called false advertisement.
How is this a free service when they want you to pay for the services that they are supposedly offering for free? Perhaps we can get the Congress off of it's dead expletative deleted and make this against the law again.
