After leaving Medvance/Fortis college due to lack of professionalism and organization, I am $15,000 in debt in student loans and cannot get into another program. None of the courses that I took will transfer to another school. I feel that I was treated horribly at this school and still I tried my best to finish the program. Even though it affected my health and quality of life.
After the months of course work that I completed I only had to finish 6 months of clinicals to complete the program, I did over 250 hours in 2 months of clinicals but that time was just wiped away and I was not given credit for it. I woke up every morning at 5:00 am and worked for free at the hospital until 3:00 pm and then I was told that I wouldn't be given credit for even 1 hour.
How can an school be accrediated and allowed to take government money when it could care less about it's students.
All I wanted was to complete the program and get my diploma to be able to take the certification test in my field. But that seems like a distant dream now.
