I attended Ashworth College in Georgia while residing in California and was disappointed with their services. I submitted my transcripts in October 7th after the school advertised you can transfer up to 75% of credits from a previous institution to the school and graduate sooner at a lesser cost. The school could not accurately read my official transcript directly from my previous institution. I ordered 2 copies of the official transcript (1 for the school & 1 for my records). After notifying the school they did not credit me for an English Class I Passed with a B they said the transcript did not reflect the class. I demanded to see the transcript they received as it was clear on my copy and they stated they cannot give me a copy and that I would need to verify the information with my previous school. My previous school advised that both transcripts had the same information. After notifying Ashworth what my previous school stated they never responded. After 6 days with no response I requested to withdraw from the school as I was unhappy with the services I received. Upon cancellation they stated I was required to pay for the whole semester although I terminated. I refuse to pay for the full semester because they did not lower my tuition for the classes already taken at my previous institution although these classes were included with this semester's tuition. I could understand if these classes were in a separate semester but they were included in this semester. How can they force you to pay for classes already taking a a
fully accredited community college especially when they are not fully accredited themselves. There website clearly states transferring your credits lower your tuition cost and they refuse to do so.
The school has horrible customer service and the work appears to be middle school material. I took a book to one of my previous college professors and he laughed at the material and said this is in no way college material. Also you do not even have to participate in the class all you have to do is take the test for the lesson and your done. Reviews, worksheets, practice tests, and exercises are not even required to pass the class. You don't even have an instructor you can ask for help because there are no assigned instructor unless you have a writing assignment in which case the instructor is assigned after for submit your assignment. You can even copy and paste your question on an internet search engine such as Google and get all the answers to your test for free in most cases. The school is a for profit joke. There staff can't even accurately documents and transcripts. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT ATTEND ASHWORTH COLLEGE. IT IS A JOKE AND THE DEGREES ARE NOT EVEN TAKEN SERIOUSLY!
I read all the reviews just as you are going now and still decided to attend. Worst mistake of my life. I wish I would have listened because this school is an absolute nightmare!
