I enrolled in High Tech Institute in July for an AD program for Medical Assistant. I found out in October that High Tech lost their accrediation for all AD programs and could no longer off them. I was offered an "certificate" program instead but opted to withdraw from school after only a couple of months. I called and cancelled all my student loans and have 1 letter from USA funds stating they had received my request to cancel my loan and had did so. This month, January I started receiving harrassing threatening phone calls about garnishing my check over these student loans I had cancelled. I did not receive the money, did not attend the school but a couple of months, withdrew from school (legally), calcelled the loans (legally) and still I owe over 20000. I found out later they were on probation, which they kept from me during registration. I moved to TN to attend school and was scammed, all my education resourses were used up and now I am working a min wage part time job and being sued for loans that I didn't utilize.
