Georgia Medical Institute
Fraudulent education program

My daughter atteneded Georgia Medical Institute from Nov Dec. GMI suspended her bcause she was not able to pay them $50.00 per month for the $1,000.00 difference of the total Dialysis Tech program of $10,805.00.

They withdrew her from the school in February. They charged her for 4 months of an 8 month program, when she was only there for 1 month.
They took some of the Sallie Mae loans and all of the grant; still owing GMI, and Sallie Mae.
Prior to the checks, she sent a notarized letter requesting to return the student loan checks to both GMI and Sallie Mae. The math is simple. It all adds up to fraud for this school.

In our investigation, we have had no help from the State of Georgia or the US Department of Education regarding the misuse of funds and overcharges of this entire situation. She can not continue her education at any school and partake of the grants that she is entitled to because of GMI.

They have since changed from Carnegie Institute (Georgia Medical Institute) to EVEREST INSTITUTE. Why do tehy keep changing their name? Sounds fishy to me!
