11/28. I bought a Buslink CD Writer, model RW5252L from Best Buy with the promise from Buslink of a $40 rebate.
2/04. I verified with Buslink rebate processing center at 800-473-6891 that my rebate was approved and is now in Buslink Fulfillment Center for distribution of a check.
2/25. I wrote Buslink a letter asking for my money and have received no response.
I have called Buslink rebate center at 1-877-684-6462 x512 and left a message with all the requested information. I received no response. I have now waited over 4 months for my money with no indication of Buslink ever fulfilling its contract. It should have been no more than 8 weeks.
2/25. Submitted a Better Business Bureau complaint against Universal Buslink Corporation.
3/12. I submitted a complaint with the FTC against Buslink.
3/12. I submitted a complaint against Buslink with Bill Lockyer, the Atorney General of CA.
4/01. I received an email from the BBB that said, among other things, "Although we have tried to obtain a response to your complaint from the company in the hope of reaching a mutually acceptable resolution, they have ignored our requests."
Next, I will send a final, registered letter asking for my money before I open a Small Claims case against them. I'll also be contacting a lawyer for a possible class-action suit.
