I signed up for this school to attend hours between 6pm-10pm Monday - Thursday. I was told that I would have to attend Saturdays at the last semester. We ended up going every Saturday. When I signed my contract for financial aid I was told that I only had to take a loan for $3000 and that they didn't allow students to get extra money for expenses. Later other students were signing up and getting extra checks. When I did my exit review my loan was $6000. One minute I would get a letter saying I owe money, the next were receipts of checks that were dispursed which I never seen. My complaint is I work Monday thur Friday 8:30-4:30 and when the school up and changed the hours to 4:30-10pm there was no way that I could get to school at 4:30. I signed up for this NIGHT program because of my work schedule, if I had known that they were going to change the hours I never would've signed up for the Esthetics program. I would've chose another school to attend.
Miller Motte then said that everyone could make up the hours without having to pay. I feel like I shouldn't have to make up hours being that they screwed up. I feel like they should honor me my hours or give me my money back. I emailed the dean of education at Miller Motte Nikki England and she bascially said and I quote " You got screwed" those were her exact words and then she said I am sorry, the previous director J.R. Didn't know what he was doing and that is why I am here. I was shocked that she admitted that to me and I have emails to prove it. So many students are going through this same mishap. Everyone is tired of being told one thing and then they come and tell you another. The total number of hours that this program requires is 750 and one minute they were saying that i was short 140hrs, the next it was 60, and then it was 100. It was never a accurate number but at the end of the day the only reason why my hours were screwed was because I got off work at 4:30 and tried to beat the Nashville rush hour traffic driving from Vanderbilt hospital to Madison Tn to try to make it to class everyday. I usually didn't get it to class until 5:30 sometimes 6. It was hard and very frustrating rushing to school and not trying to wreck. At the end of it all, all I want is for Miller Motte to just give me the hours that were screwed up from them changing the program at the last minute or give me my money back period. They screwed up and its not fair that they changed the program 3months before we finished the program. I honestly think they should give me my remaining hours especially since the dean of education admitted to screwing up. That is all I want is for them to just send in my remaining hours that I would've had if they wouldn't had changed the program at the last minute. Right is Right. I signed a legal contract 6-10pm it didn't say that it would change in Jan 4:30-10pm. I never would have registered for that program at Miller Motte. They mislead people to sign up and then once your in its to late. Now I have over $6,000 to pay back in student loans and I can't even go take my state board because they screwed up my hours. It is not right and I have over 50 other students who stand behind me on this. Miller motte needs to be investigated.
