Miller-Motte Tech College Miller-Motte has unethical strategies to enroll students. The one thing I learned for sure is research, If I had I wouldnt be over 25,000 in debt. Let them tell it they did me a favor

On January 21, I started my first day of class at your Fayetteville, NC campus. I was enrolled by Michelle Bethea. When I heard the advertisement for Miller-Motte I thought to myself, This sounds like a good opportunity, maybe a stepping stone to achieve my long term goals. During the enrollment process, Michelle sold the school to me. It sounded great. We did a walkthrough of the school and it was fairly empty (the school had been open for about 4 months at that time). There was no medical equipment. She explained to me that there would be all this new equipment coming in and that attending this school would give me state of the art hands on training. When I initially asked her what the cost of tuition was, she asked if she could tell me about the school first, I said yes I was very excited. When the tour was over she laid the whopping 15,000 on me. I asked her for the whole 18 months she said yes. I told her that was too much (which I later found out I had to take out more financial aid they told me the entire program was 30,000).
She convinced me that when I finished my program Miller Motte Career Services Dept. Would place me at a job and the loans I took out would be minute compared to how much money I would be bringing in. She told me the school was flexible to students who had children, and the students would be allowed to occasionally bring their kids to class. I know myself that this is not traditional of any school. I didnt think to myself at the time it was too good to be true. She said I would graduate in 18 months if I passed all of my classes. I later found out that it is impossible for night students to graduate in 18 months yet thats what they told the majority of students who enrolled. I am scheduled to graduate in July. That is the one thing the school is honoring since I enrolled.

I have had classes to where the books hadnt arrived until third week of class when there are twelve weeks in a term. There are Professors that are amazing. There were also professors who taught and we would only get to ch. 3 or 4 in some classes because every student that was tardy he would make them recite Excuses thus loosing valuable class time. This was reported to the Dean on numerous occasions yet it continued. The clinical portion of my M.A. Class all of the blood pressure cuffs were broken except one the only equipment we had to practice with were stethoscopes or what the nurse could bring from the hospital she worked at. We use a sex toy doll as a manikin.
They advertise small classes; there are at least 40 people in some of my classes taking away from what I am paying for and what MMC advertises. I personally went to Medical Assisting Program Director Vicki Curtis, Dean Brandon Woodbury, Registrar Heather McDowell, and Campus Director David Sessoms. Mrs. McDowell told me the people up front were trained wrong and they should have not told us these things. I told her so whose fault is that they were trained wrong? She said no one is at fault. I just want them to put themselves in my shoes. Most of the administrative faculties say its a new school, but they are not giving what they advertise; when you go to one faculty member they send you to another. I went to Mr. Sessoms twice about the lack of equipment and he would tell me to make out a list of what we need that is not my job this is not the first M. A program Miller Motte has why wouldnt they model the program after another MMC location. If a new Medical Assistant in the Dr. S office administers the wrong medication to a patient not one employee on the staff is going to say oh its okay shes a new Medical Assistant or this is a new office bare with us.
I am putting a house down payments on an Associates degree the very least I feel like I should have got what I paid for hands on education. They call us the school guinea pigs which I think is very disrespectful because I take my education seriously. I am disappointed because pertinent information regarding tuition cost, and when M.A. Would be able to sit for the certification exam.in my opinion Miller-Mottes Admission representatives recruiting tactics are unethical.
