We have owned our home for 6 yrs. And out of that time it was good. We have tried several times to refinance this to a lower intrest rate and lower payments but can't because Conseco/Greentree has buried us so far down we can't even crawl out. The funny thing is that each time we ask for a payoff it goes up not down. I have filed complaints with the Atty. General office the Banking Commission and you name it and have gotten nothing back from them. Called have written just tells me it is in the works.
Until I found this board I have searched the internet high and low for something and nothing until now. We have gotten behind on 1 payment and boy have we gotten the calls and they are so rude and nasty so guess what I am the same way and hang up on them. I am waiting for them to start calling my neighbors and family as they have done on all of you. Then they have had it.
I have been late back in 07/02 because my husband's brother-in-law just up and filled bankrupcty on the company and personal taking our 30,000.00 401k right with them we have struggled and and then we didn't have health ins. Called Conseco to see if they could take the interest rate down and came back and told me no they in the mean time had pulled the comp on my area and found that they had screwed up. So then they gave me a medical deferment for 3 months and I paid the interest that they had set.
When we closed on the loan they had a closer come to our house and we read the papers and signed them. Our loan was for 171,000.00 at 14.050% intrest with a 6% 36 mo. Prepayment pentaly. None of this was on the papers that we signed or we would have not signed trust me. They did a bogus appraisal the pictures of the houses aren't even those address. And appraised it for 181,000.00.
They don't have the year it was built right and our copies aren't even signed. We have been trying to get copies of the signed ones but they won't even send them to us. I have called almost every attny her in Fl. And none will even take the case isn't that pitiful? So I have been talking to a group out of Al. And they have several cases but not a classaction each on it own.
We may loose our house and everything but I am going to fight these S.O.B. Oh yes before I forget my brother-in-law and sister-in-laws house has been standing empty for a year and a half we just checked it. It isn't even on the market so what do you think they are going to do with all of these places when every one quites and walks away and we all get the word out on them. Wouldn't that put them down deeper and out of the picture even more? I hope they belly up and do a chpt. 7 and all of these nasty men and women if you can call them loose there jobs and there familes are put out like our familes have been.
