Greentree, Conseco
Really high interest rate, then refinancing at lower with exuberant hiddien costs, i owe more than 5000.00 today than i did with org. Loan with downpmt. Almost 10 years later?

I purchased this Mobile Home from GreenTree in 1996 at 32000.00, made a down of 2000.00, interest rate was at 13%, refinanced in 97 at 10% with another Co. With no additional cost, was contacted by GreenTree aka Conseco approx. 6 mo. Later with a refinance rate at 8%, sounded good, but neglected to tell me of enormously outragious closing costs, which I did not find out about until tax time, with anual report of interest paid and balance of account.

TO my shock I found that I owed more than 10,000.00 more from the original amount of loan with them. This is the year I now owe Greentree aka Conseco more 37000.00, how is this possible, I ask??? I understand mortgages as this is not the first time I have purchased a home this is my third, the first two were at least real homes, and that in the first years u pay mostly interest, but this is ridiculous to owe more than 5000.00 of org. Cost after almost 10 years, and no pocket money out of any loan, just owe more period. Will not do business with either company again.

And just so all know both Companies have had numerous lawsuits against them which why they keep seitching back and forth on the Names. Greentree/Conseco are both one in the same I don't give a damn what anybody says, they are!!! So all Be AWARE!!!
