I just got off your website and read all the comments about Ramada Plaza Resorts. I am a home health nurse and I see a patient that is on chemo therapy and not doing well, on the phone during their sales pitch she explained that she is on disability and could not afford the monies they were asking. They put a heavy hitter on the phone to speak with her that convinced her that she should be woman enough to make a financial decision like that and reduced the down payment to 299.99, unfortunately for her, she gave them her debit card.
Mind you that at least 4 times she told them she really couldn't make a decision like that as she is on disability and quite ill and living on limited income.
I called when she got the package and spoke with a supervisor (after explaining to six different people the situation) Misty (the supervisor) told me to send a copy of my patients disability papers and a letter from her Dr. I did both for her. I have called several times and kept asking for Misty, she was supposed to call my patient back the day before yesterday to discuss her refund. She is in dire straights financially and has had to go back on a very expensive medication for her illness.
She called herself today and finally after speaking with Gerson, Lavelle, Noelle and whomever else decided to pick up the phone she got Misty. When I arrived at Sheri's house for a home health visit. I found her hysterically crying stating that Misty told her the disability form and Doctors letters that were requested and I personally faxed for Sheri, had been reviewed by the general managers and they have decided that even though she cannot afford financially or physically to take this trip, she could not have a refund.
The customer service department have all been rude and Misty raised her voice with her and told her it was just too bad. If indeed these conversations are recorded for customer service training, I would be really surprised to meet the people that run such an organization. I have made it my personal mission to help her get her much needed money back so that she can continue to eat while on this medication.
It is extremely upsetting after going to your website and seeing all of the complaints that a business like this is even able to run in the State of Florida. I am contacting consumer affairs and the governor's office for some assistance in this. If a refund for her is not forthcoming I will also be contacting Action News here so that they can look into this company. If any one has any suggestions how to get to the officers of this company; please let us know where to get these addresses.
