I recieved an email about 2 weeks ago stating that my debit card would be charged for some kind of "membership" that I have never heard of and never signed up for. I emailed them back and told them that I was not interested and did not sign up for this. About 2 days ago, I got another email from them. My husband suggested that I look up Simple Escapes to find out what kind of company it was. I did and was shocked at all of the complaints on this site.
We noticed that our bank account was short, so we called the bank. Simple Escapes had charged $134.95 for something that we didn't sign up for. I called Simple Escapes and got someone that barely spoke English. I asked for her supervisor. The supervisor informed me that they got my check card # from AOL when a banner was accidentally clicked on. If I sign up for something I expect to type my info in. This company takes it upon themselves to sign you up. I thought that AOL protects your information. Apparently not!!!
Needless to say, AOL will be cancelled. I don't know if I will ever get my money back. The bank is disputing this charge.
I cannot believe that anyone could work for such a fraudulent company. They are stealing food out of childrens mouth. We are low income to begin with so this is very devistating.
I have a motto for Simple Escapes. You cannot Simply Escape their fraud!
