I have been contacted by JBC Associates (first call in Nov and then again on Dec. 5) for supposed returned checks written to Ames in 1992/93. They have called my parents house, using an out of date address. When I returned their call, I asked for proof of these checks and they refused to provide proof. After researching the company on this website and debtamerica.com, I now know that this is a scam, and I would encourage anyone reading this to NOT pay JBC any money. Let them know that you know what they are attempting to do. Call your state attorney office and attorney general, and share your experience with others to help those who may not know of the fraud JBC is attempting. I am going to fight them and I would encourage anyone else contacted by JBC to do the same.
