I am a student at Cal Poly Pomona. I am unhappy because the course requirements listed as 24 units to complete the program. However, They added 6 more units after any student got accepted. I wish they disclose all the required courses at the beginning so students can make a better decision whether to attend there or at other institutions. They gave me two different sets of the list of required courses. I still have them and I think I can used this to prove their deceptive and not fully disclosed of information. It's a deceptive practices and should be stopped immediately. Other students are afraid to speak out for numerous reasons. I firmly believe it's a practice to keep students attending longer so the department can have federal or state grants. Their gains is a lost to all students who are pursuing to complete the program.
I want this practice to stop. I want them to keep the 24 units as a requirements and cannot add more courses unless approve by the committee or the board under the CSU System. The reason why I speak up is I heard a lot of complaints from my colleagues. Please help me deal with this matter and I believe many students will benefit from this.
