My wife and I rented text books from Bookrenters.com to help with our school at an online college. We returned every book we rented to them. I emailed them several times regarding problems printing a return label for a book Fundamentals of Information Technologies and never heard back from them. On Saturday June 26th I was able to print the label after getting the computer fixed. On Tuesday June 29th I discovered that BookRenters charged my Visa card for this book which was used when we rented it for $159.66 which is the price of a NEW book. The book was returned to them on 6/26 and received this morning along with the Criminal Justice Book I rented from them. Mr. Boyd signed for the books but my card was still charged for $159.66, attempts to reach them have failed as no one ever answers the phone there and I tried calling the number on my bank statement and it's a disconnected number. I think this practice is deceitful and crooked. They began the rental the day I ordered the book instead of the day I received it as well and that means I truly didn't get full use of the book given that I was charged for 30 days but the book was due back sooner then the 30 days would have been up.
