Career Training Solutions
Inc. Ripoff, lying, deceitful, dishonest, theft, fraud, extortion, you name it

I am a stay-at-home mother and was looking for something I could do at home to help make a difference in our families financial security. I ran across Career Training Solutions while looking in Monster.com. I submitted my resume and was immediately contacted via e-mail and directed to call Regina. I called and she talked with me about the Legal Professional class they offered. She then directed me to a recruiter named Susan Standlee and I enrolled in the class scheduled to start on 10/25/03 and also paying with a credit card $499 for the class.

I immediately received my receipt for payment and a disclaimer that promised receipt of class materials in approximately 15 days after payment was received. This disclaimer also stated that the fees would be refunded to me after I had been employed by them for 90 days after completion of the class. It guaranteed I would have at least one client and that they pay their employees every week. This disclaimer was faxed back to Susan Standlee immediately. I called her and verified with her that she had received this. She then assured me that everything was on schedule and all I had to do was wait for the materials to arrive and wait for the class to begin.

I did not receive any materials so I called back the third week. Apparently since they had my money they didn't feel the need to speak with me anymore as after I called and left about 15 messages on her voicemail and also to Larika Adams, my assigned Student Services Representative, no one ever called me back.

I continued this hourly ritual of hitting redial for about 2 weeks and by this time, the beginning class date had passed. I finally was able to talk to a person that told me that the classes had been delayed but would not give a reason. They were going to start on 11/1/03. I would receive my e-mail on 10/31/03 instructing me how to log on to the class site. I was also told that the materials were going to be shipped out no later than 10/30/03 and I would have them by the day the class started.

I received no e-mail regarding the class so all day on Friday, 10/31, I called and dialed every extension from 100 to 135 (that was all they had) and got only voicemails. I left messages on most all of them but received no response back.

Finally after all these attempts, I called and got a lady named "Linda" on the phone on 11/4/03. She stated that on 10/28 and 10/29 the principals had met and decided to dissolve the company and that refunds had been entered for customers that paid with a credit card. I should see a chargeback for the entire amount on my next statement. When I asked her why I was not told this when I called the week before, she told me that she did not know.

I have called the credit card company daily since then and there is no chargeback yet refunding our payment.

There is another website that is currently under construction for this company with the same principal, Sheena McGee, that is www.cts-online.org. Wonder if they are going to try this again?
