University of Phoenix is a total scam, luckily I bailed after the first course. The cost is completely overrated, you can go to a real good four year school for the prices they charge. Their courses and credits DO NOT TRANSFER to a traditional college. Their financial aid department and staff are horrible to deal with.
After they sweet talk you into attending their wonderful school they hold your federal aid approval until after you cannot drop the class and then you end up paying for at least half, which is about $600 a class. At $1300.00 per class you can attend a really nice university. I feel sorry for the poor saps who stayed long enough to dump thousands upon thousands of dollars into this scam school only to find out if they leave that the credits are worth NOTHING to any other educational institution. You are basically out thousands of dollars or complete the degree at UoP.
They are not a real college! They are a "for-profit" CORPORATION. Their primary goal is to line their own pockets with cash. The classes are a complete joke, you can learn more at your local primary school sitting with toddlers. They let anyone in so you end up dealing with complete morons on your "team" projects who will not contribute or do anything and you end up doing all the work yourself and everyone gets the same grade. The instructors get fired if they lose students so they pass any moron that gets accepted, which is anyone dumb enough to pay $1300.00 for one course.
If you are currently attending UoP, GET OUT NOW!!! You might as well burn your money. Employers laugh at degrees from this place and you have no chance of getting hired when your competition holds a real degree from a real university. The online experience is great and there are many legit online programs available, UoP is NOT one of them, GET OUT NOW!
*Other schools to avoid just like UoP: ITT Technical Institute and DeVRY Institute of Technology. They operate the same, for-profit corporations NOT schools.
