This is regarding a high school fundraising company in Georgia called Champion Funding Solutions (www.cfsteams.com). I have suspicions that the company is a scam and could potentially be stealing money from students' families and friends via their website.
I am a graphic designer and was contacted by CFS to create the donation letters for a few school fundraisers that would be mailed to students' friends and family. The letters include a username and password to log on to their website for their student's athletic team in order to donate money for uniforms, equipment, travel expenses, etc. I designed and submitted the letters to the company for print over a month ago and was told I would get paid within a few days for my work. It was a small invoice so I didn't mind the wait. However after a few weeks of waiting, I continued to get excuse after excuse for non-payment which finally resulted in the company screening my calls. They are now completely unresponsive. I am not writing because I didn't get paid. I am writing because I wanted to bring the reputation of the company to the public's attention because they are dealing with money coming from students' families and friends. If they are unable to pay a small invoice, I have doubts that they are going to be honest with the incoming funds for a school's athletic program. Please beware before you spend your money with them.
All of the principals of the schools I did work for have been contacted. If you already sent money through the company, you can probably try and dispute it through your card company. If you plan on sending money to the school, you are better off mailing it directly to someone in administration like the principal or the athletic director/coach rather than going through this company.
