I received a letter from CAMCO on December 12 saying that I owed them money since February of 1995. At that time I didn't do anything, after couple months later a debtor call my house saying that I have an outstanding debt in the amount of $13,121.39. They also told me that I could settle the whole amount by paying $3,260.45 to them. Due to the fact that I'm afraid it would affect my credit history, I almost fell into this trap by just paying them the settlement. After discussed with family and friends I decided not to give them any money because they could not able to show me evidence about my outstanding debt and I never have this credit card number before.
Somehow, I went online trying to get more information about CAMCO. I found out this website containing a lot of complaints documented by victims who had similar saturation with me. I feel that it is necessary to file my own complaint to the public as well.
