Please refer to the previous report about Dr. Amador / Palomar College for my initial report about this business criminal, and her unscrupulous behavior regarding changes to school policy and not allowing access to the temporary dining room.
As of Monday, 3/12/03, we are now housed in a small room at the entranceway to the school gymnasium. Admittedly this room is indoors, and will (hopefully) prevent students from getting pneumonia or worse, but we got the room only after some of the tutors we know wrote emails demanding it. The room has a slight but distinct smell of old sweatsocks, and is rather smaller than the small temp dining room we had, but at least it's a place we can call ours until the semester ends on the 23rd.
I must say that the construction workers who are currently reconfiguring the building for use by the administration (while *their* building is having its air-conditioning repaired) are NOT at fault at all— the blame for this criminal fiasco must and does rest squarely on the shoulders of Dr. Sherrill Amador. I only hope that, if she does not stop this foolish policy of not listening to her employees, and the students at Palomar (who in both cases have for the most part been at the college FAR longer than she has), she will be impeached as soon as possible with EXTREME PREJUDICE.
After all— if Sherrill Amador wants to live up to her title of Doctor, doesn't she have to live up to a version of the Hippocratic Oath, which as its first rule, states "first, do no harm"?
