I went to ITT Tech in 2006 for about 2-3 weeks before I started receiving notices in the mail that if I didn't pay my tuition within the month, that I would not be allowed into the classes. Now, the financial aid person that I spoke with said that the majority of my tuition would be covered by financial aid and after that the school would bill me for the remainder at a later time. They also stated that I would have until the middle of the semester to pay this. I agreed and signed. So lets go back to me receiving the first letter from the school. I called and asked to speak with my financial advisor and the secretary had advised me that that person wasn't in. I then continued to call for the next few days and the operator advised me that that particular person was no longer employed. So I just kept getting the run around and at my 3rd week I was sent a letter that stating due to my delinquent account with the school that I would no longer be able to attend and my teachers have been notified.
I was contacted by several of my teachers asking me why I wasn't showing up in class and I had told them about the letter that I had received that said they had been notified. The teachers seemed very surprised at this, but wished me luck in future schooling.
Now here we are almost 3 years later, and I'm viewing my credit report and see a nice fat bill on there for over $2000. Can I go anywhere with this?
