Bank debit ripoff abused & mistreated Clearwate

Smart Certify called me back in November.

At first they wanted 4000 dollars or so for their courses. I told them there was no way. They then informed me of a course ware deal for like 2300 dollars for a package where I could access there whole database of information for 2 years. I signed up. Every month they was to debit out of my account money to pay for the fee. $200.00 A month.

1 month after signing up I lost my job. Actually I was laid off. SmartCertify contacted me the next month and said that they tried to debit my account and couldn't get the money that was owed to them. I said I was very sorry and was working on a resolve and that I was just laid off the month prior. They called me back and said we understand, Can you send us $100.00 dollars? I said sure. I did that. They said we will just take this payment that you missed and put it in the back of the balance due to us.

They called back after receiving the $100.00 dollars I sent them and asked if I could send them another. I said sure. The next week I got paid for a Job and put that money in my account. To me and my wifes surprise the next day when we went to the bank to pull money out to pay bills we found out that smartCertify had contacted my bank and put a hold on our funds. They was trying to take out 300 dollars and it hadnt cleared yet. I was in total shock. It was the first job I had gotton in 2 months and for the first time me and my wife and kids could buy some groceries and pay bills.

Then the teller told me that for the last [2 months] they had been looking at our account about every other day trying to pull money out when it would become available. YA DO YOU BEILEVE THAT? I was furious. They deceived me into thinking that they could understand when someone goes through a hardtime and that they was there to help me until i was back on my feet. All those calls about send us a check and all the time stabbing me in the back trying to pull money out of the account was totally unacceptable. My bank told me that if I wanted to get my money back from smartcertify I would have to call them. They said there was nothing they could really do.

Came monday I did just that I told them that was pretty dirty. The lady on the other end just "worked there" and said she would talk to her manager and call me back. I knew if they had that type of buisness practise there was no way I was going to receive a penny back no matter what agreements we had. The bottom line on this deal is that currently my account is sitting at -300 dollars negetive in my checking account. They caused me to bounce cheqs and go in the hole. And as for them groceries and bills that needed to be paid that didnt happen as of yet either. We may loose our checking account that we have had for years and all for what? I know I was wrong at a angle, but 2 wrongs dont make a right.

They decived me into thinking they was out to help me until my job kicked back in. The kicker here is to me at least that even while they was on the phone with me trying to make a resovle they was looking at my bank accounts seeing if they could pull all the money out they could when it was available. Real Dirty SmartCertify...
