I too also went to this school in Jan. 2004. They put an ad in the paper as if they were an employer looking for medical receptionist and general clerical work. (I am looking into old archives for the original ad). I responded only to find that it was a career center that helps you get into the medical field if you have no experience. I applied for the fake ad as a clerical worker. At the orientation that I attended everything sounded good as far as the medical billing and coding class and at the end of training you will get a certificate of completion and also sit for the National Exam for medical billing and coding which we would receive a voucher to pay for the test. The original start date was in Jan. 2004 and ends in June. 2004. My husband applied for a loan with Sallie Mae for me and all was ok until how they tried to cover alot of mistakes. They were forging loans and we were told by ohtet students to look at our loan papers and they were receiving grants form the government that the students should have been getting to cover partial tuition. That is were the high loan comes in. Also they falsified info on his loan application stating he was on a particular job for five years but in fact that was not true. Also a false finish date which was May. 2004. The loan app was faxed to us blank we were asked to sign then we would receive a final copy before they would send it off. All we have was a copy not the original. The books were outdated and the software was a dubbed copy. Students fro other classes called several news stations and it was just a mess by then it was too late to get a refund. I was hoping that we would finish but the school closed before I would finish with no warning. I was a month away of finishing. I called Sallie Mae many times and also the Board of Ed to let them know what was going on. Sallie Mae stated that they have in their records that I called and ststed that I finished the course. Why would I do that. It has bee four years now with no help. Going back and forth with Sallie Mae giving them numerous paperwork and evidence but with no response. They keep sending me to the Board of Ed which only allows up to 2yrs to file a report on a closed school. I ggogled the closed school section and it stated that the school closed before or on about June but it was earlier than that and I cannot get school records (which Career Vision may have disposed of), No certification or anyrhing to show for it only but a high interest loan which is almost in default. I am so tired and frustrated for getting the run around. If someone in the legal profession is reading this please contact me for help. These people just fell off the face of the earth and got away with alot of money. Thank You.
