John Casablancas Modeling And Career Center
False representation

I origainally was looking for a modeling career for my oldest son, got a call from Maureen to set up an appointment, where I drove willingly only to be placed in a room with a bunch of other eager parents to see what they could do to help their child succeed in their dreams. We too were asked on a scale of 1-10 our desires, my son clamed up... We were then asked to leave the room with our tail between our legs and to expect a phone call if we were asked for a so called "call back".

My second son who really wanted the opportunity begged me to take him, i reluctantly agreed and we were offered another chance at which time we were asked for a substantial amount of money... I walked out the door and thought it over and discussed it with my husband, his response was... Does he really want this. And of course he says yes! We agreed and put on a payment plan at the cost of 164.00 X 9 months. We were also asked to pay another fee $75.00 for a book of that was never, NEVER touched.in addition to a fee that was supposed to be a tax for education!

We attended our classes and they were a joke! The instructors were less than professional and the classes, well, I could have taught him more and I am in the medical profession.

We were then promised photo sessions (for the next three years) from reputable photographer and had our photo shoot, which again was run poorly. We were not told of what to bring for them or directed in anyway as to what colors, make-up, shoes etc. My sons pictures were a joke. I ran to the mall to try to get him something to wear! This counted as a class, 1 0f 7.

OUr next class was to look at proofs with the photogher to decide which to BUY! She had at least 10 parents to go over the photos with... Again an impossible task.

The graduation class consisted of the children walking down a catwalk if you will crammedin like sardines! Again when I left i felt completely taken advantage of finacially as well as misleading my child to think he could be the next child star!!!

I did not relay my feelings to my child, as to not ruin his DREAM.

We were also handed a paper of agencys to contact to get our children represented and were told to show up yet again for an open call to a local agency. We were spoken to like children, less than children actually, the person kept telliing us how much she did not like children and the kids were present listening! The kids all had to get up infront of a large group and speak to this woman who already said numerous times that she did not LIKE THEM! VERY strange! We then were told to wait and we would be notified if our child was one of the CHOSEN ones. And if we ere chosen we were then asked to come for yet another audition at their agency! Who would want to be affiliated with that agency after being treated like that. I as adult can brush it off but there were young children that do not get it and the effects to there self esteem!

If anyone is considering to go to this school, expect nothing but false hope and alot of frustration. PLease do not do it! Go to sites like MIKE LEMON CASTING WICKLINE CASTING to get your child prepared for a careeer in this industry. They will be honest with you if your child HAS IT or not!
