Almost taken by dream-come-true work at home offer from...
I am working two business, plus a part-time job while attending night school when the pop-up showed up on my computer about this awesome-sounding work at home program. The web-site I was sent to sounded like a dream come true. I could make $1,000 a week part time stuffing and mailing envelopes?
Several things didn't add up...
1) Why would the company pay me so much to do something that a minimum wage earner in their home city could do 8 hours a day for peanuts?
2) How did they plan to verify my activities?
3) Why couldn't they accept credit cards?
4) Why was there no phone number listed or offer of continuous support for their workers?
5) (This one really was what made me question them to begin with) "Order online today and receive 6 months free long distance". From whom?
I decided to check into the company, and I'm sure glad I did. I cannot afford to be giving $50 to crooks when I can barely afford groceries.
