On October 23 I signed an agreement with The NEMA Group for their so-called "professional assistance" with my job search efforts. As part of the agreement I provided them with a $2500 REFUNDABLE deposit for their services. Since I decided NOT to continue with the proposed services I have since requested full refund of the $2500 deposit.
The NEMA Group officials first decided to ignore my voice messages, e-mails, and faxes addressed to Richard (Dick) Heller and Peter Kosarin on November 20th and November 22nd 2002. Therefore on November 25 I sent two certified letters to Messrs. Richard Heller and Peter Kosarin. Following receipt of my certified letters
I received an e-mail from Mr. Kosarin wondering "why did I decide to cease and decease all relationship at the point when they "almost" found a couple of job leads for me and also hinting taht since they have already invested so much time in our relationships the "fully refundable" $2500 deposit may not be as "refundable" as was originally stated.
In my reply to Mr. Kosarin, on December 13 I strongly objected to any continued discussions and once again requested a full and immediate refund of the $2500 deposit. Namely, I told Mr. Kosarin: "just to make sure this is absolutely clear: i never agreed to accept your program... And as I never felt comfortable with applicability of your program to my needs, I returned all the materials presented to me by NEMA, decided to cease all our relationships and [continue to] INSIST ON RECEIVING THE REFUNDABLE $2500 back [immediately]."
I also stated, to Mr. Kosarin, that "people introduced to me over the phone as references by Mr. Heller were not convinced NEMA would be able to help me securing a suitable job. However, they did indicate they know Mr. Heller as an honest and decent person. I very much hope this indeed is the case, and expect a FULL AND IMMEDIATE refund of my $2500."
In turn, Mr. Kosarin promised to PROMPTLY forward my request to Mr. Heller (who by the way occupies an office next door to Mr. Kosarin's office), however, I have NOT heard back from anyone at The NEMA Group since, and more importantly, have not gotten my $2500 deposit back as of yet.
