I signed up for the medical billing and coding program in 2006—I only wanted to take the diploma program but the school said I had to take the degree program ($20,000).
I graduated and discovered it was a total waste of time—the school is not respected in the medical community.
You need to be a certified coder to get a job in the medical coding industry, you might luck out and find something—highly unlikely—unless you know someone to help you.
I feel sooooooo ripped off, can't find a job, and the school doesn't even help you get certified!!!
Don't go!!! Its a waste of time!!!
