ISCS Corporation
$450 for a Job Ripoff

I was called for an interview at "ISCS Corporation" in early November. The woman on the phone was named LaShonda. When I asked her, she could not provide specific information on a position that I was to be interviewing for, but indicated that they had gotten my resume from monster.com. I went to the interview at 30 S. Wacker, where there were 3 others waiting to met with a Mr. Joseph Rupert.in this first interview, Joseph Rupert apologized for the group interview but explained that they had over three thousand resumes and that this first interview was a screening process to get to the top 3% of viable candidates. If called back for a second interview we would get one-on-one attention.

I filled out an application, took a personality assessments, and answered four questions about my career goals, educational goals, salary expectations, and why I should be hired. After completing this and having a Q&A period, Mr. Rupert indicated they would be getting back with some us in about two weeks. Unexpectedly, I received a call back for a second interview.

At the interview I was told to ask for Glenn Smith. I went into a conference room and waited for Glenn for a bit. When he came he took me an office. At that time I was offered a position for a Team leader in Ecommerce. Mr. Smith then diagrammed the reporting structure for me and presented me with an offer for at least $87,000.00 starting. He then made the pitch.

The training will include 4 weeks of online, home based exercises in PowerPoint, WebSite Development and Management which costs the company $750.00 to enroll a candidate, ISCS required a $450.00 payment to ensure that I would complete the training once I agreed to do it. Upon completion of the training, I would get my $450.00 back, plus compensation for my time during the training.

The payment got me a little concerned, so I asked him a few questions, specifically concerning sales or cold calling. I was informed that that there would be none of that, but I may have to answer some questions relating to problems that AE's may have in drumming up business. At that point I asked to consider the offer and consult with my wife, as $450.00 is a lot of money to layout, even if you get it back. After thinking it over for a few hours, I made the payment and began.

I had been moving along on the training, until I got the third assignment which was to get 3 organizations from a supplied list, or on my own to sit down to a meeting. As soon as I read that I knew I had been scammed.

I immediately called ISCS, and have been on the phone with them all day. At this point I am waiting for a call from Glen Smiths' boos, Tony. I have yet to receive that call.

I have now contacted the local news stations and am trying to get an investigative report done on ISCS. I am also filing complaints with another website alerting them to this companies activities. While I don't like having my money stolen, I want the public to know about this group. I have also begun filing papers for the State Attorney General's Office.

I would love to get my money back, but if I can't get that, I want to make sure that people know about this place. They have no reports on the BBB website and there is nothing about them with the Attorney General. Help me protect others.
