My loan was purchased from equifirst by fairbanks in Nov. I had not heard from them or any correspondence from them in Nov. I called equifirst they state I would have to wait since they no longer had my morgage. I called equafirst on Nov 23rd and again Dec 2nd. I had still no contact with fairbanks - no acct no or anything...
Then on Dec 28th I recieved a letter dated 13dec02 stating that I had not been making my payments and I was going to have foreclosure started... I had never recieved anything from these people... I had been out of town from 2nd dec til 15th dec and my mail was picked up by my son each day and placed on my kitchen table... Nothing from fairbanks...
Today I recieved another letter stating I owed them back pmts and intrest... I had tried to find out where I need to send the money but to no avail. I went to the post office and while I was gone to mail my pmt to them (I finally had an address to mail to) a rep from fairbanks had came to my home... I do not know who came. But when I tried to call the phone no they were closed for the wk end... So I could not call them...
I feel like this is their fault and I should not be charged with interest or foreclosure. I feel like they are bulling me for something that is their fault... They have never sent me a payment book or any info on their company or where to mail to... Etc... Thanks you
