Inner Beauty School Complaint - Bren Bohatec, Richmond, VA
I was new to this industry, not knowing hardly anything about makeup products, etc. I felt comfortable & trusted this lady (Bren) in taking this class due to the website & many phone conversations. She informed me that the all the makeup given in kit was used by Oprah and was a Swiss Makeup Line worth $500.00, which was a lie. I was excited & thought I found the best school - HOW WRONG WAS I!
I did not complain to her during the course, cause I did not know any better until I returned home & reserched the products given & Inner Beauty website during my friends course. My friend took the course a month after me, cause she could not go when I went. I had itemized the makeup kit when my friend was there and we found out we were given a cheap makeup kit with all cheap products.including-E.L. F, (From Kmart, Ebay eyeshadow palletes, cheap Painting brushes from Michaels, ETC...) It should be all M.A.C. PRODUCTS like she raves over.
Since the class I have replaced my entire makeup kit, I would never use that horrible makeup on any clients. She changed her website after we complained cause she knows she's guilty.
My friend & her class brought it to her attention after I itemized it for them & she apologized, gave them a M.A.C.gift card worth $100.00 & gave $100.00 worth products from M.A.C. PLUS more cheap products from drug store, telling my friend not to tell me she received more than I did, how unprofessional. She said she was out of the professional kits at the time of her course, RIGHT!!!
She told my friends class I didn't complain during course, OF COURSE I didn't, I found all this out after my friends course that I was treated unfairly. She kept them for class until 6pm everyday after this cause they were complaining & did so much more for them, and at my class we were let out about 2 hours early everyday & didn't practice hardly at all. She said I should have asked to do more, I'm sorry I shouldn't have to tell the instructor how to teach her $2500.00 course.
She never instructed us while doing makeup, she walked out the room on her cell 1/2 the time while we were applying makeup. And also gave us copied pages from makeup books from M.A.C., Kevin Aucoin, etc.
She is a rip off, Liar & very unprofessional. She talked about herself constantly. ME, ME, ME & went from my class to being married to my friends class to being divorced plus other unappropriate things. I don't want to hear that & neither did any other class. Really $2500 for a makeup class not counseling meetings. She calls herself a Christian, doing this & that for the church. This is a SIN! She is taking money from innocent people, not giving what we deserve. And is a compulsive Liar.
I have been trying to contact her at her imaginary workplace & resolve this since October & now is June. This is so ridiculous, my attorney finally talked to her the other day, & Bren said she would send a brush set to me for my troubles. How nice of her! My attorney thought she sent me the rest of the money for the makeup kit that she promised she would give me back in November but I guess thats all I deserve for a $2500 rip off class plus travel. She lied to my attorney to get out of reimbursing me, I'm not asking for a full refund, not even partial-just want my money for makeup kit.
I have called her 20 times & emailed & guess what? No response. She surely calls right back to get her money for bookings. My friend received almost a full refund due to supposedly all hotel issues & that isn't all true. It was basically given without question to keep herself out of court. Cause she had 3 people complaining. Just cause I had a different class I guess I am not intitled to any sort of refund for basically the same issues.
Something is wrong that all these people are complaining. And all of a sudden she changed her kits, come on. She got caught & now she has to change them.
Bren, of course other people are gonna comment on here even if issues are resolved, cause they do not want others to have to go through this. Really!
I am going to do all I have to do to get what I deserve from this. No one deserves to have this happen to them.
Bren Bohatec needs to be put out of business, if she's not already. She is a flake & is an unchristian - like person with serious issues.
