RECREATIONAL FACTORY WAREHOUSE ripoff waste of time rip-offs ripped off and scammed rip-offs ripoff waste of time JACKSONVILLE, FLorida...

It all started with a flier AD from Miami my mother in law sent me... I called the Miami RFW and they verified that the ad that I was looking at was valid "a Leisure Bay Spa that started from $999.00 (it is a very nice looking spa "in the picture").

I explained that I lived in North Fl. And that I needed a nearest location if they had one, he directed me to the RFW in Jacksonville and that not to worry they would honor the AD there.

I called the Jacksonville store and spoke to "Oscar" (probably not his real name anyway) he stated that "YES" they had the advertised spa BUT if I waited until Thanksgiving weekend they would have better deals. I did tell "Oscar" I lived 80 miles away from Jax and that I would only concider driving that far if the deals were there, NOT TO WASTE MY TIME. He insisted that the deals would be there.

When I walked in the showroom sales rep, Dottie Blaes, jumped to assist me. I told her I was there for the Thanksgiving weekend specials and a spa they should have for $999.00. She then walked me to a spa (which looked like a cheap coffin) to put it in better terms it was cheap T 1/11 plywood surrounding a kiddie pool.

Anyway, she said it included the cover and that delivery was a dollar a mile, then she "changed her mind" and said "no it's $200. For delivery and $1 a mile after 30 miles. I told her I would think about it I also mentioned I needed a pool advertised as "overstock" for $599.00 she showed me a pool told me it included: step ladder, pump, liner, etc... So I left the store went to a public phone and called the Miami RFW spoke to "Mike" a sales rep, he said the 1z spa (the one pictured in the ad) was $799.00 incl. The cover.

I went back to the store showed Dottie the ad and told her what "Mike" had said. Her response was "I hate when they do this, they put a picture in the ad that's not the real spa" she took the ad to her Mgr. Who said "where did you get that? Home Depot?" when I explained it was an ad for ALL RFW's his low comment was "you must be one on the lucky ones" (in a sarcastic tone)

At that time Dottie advised me that, Yes, she would get me the same spa she showed me at first for $799.00 but that didn't incl. The cover. The cover would NOW be $300.00 so now the spa that was all inclusive for $999.00 is $1099. Plus delivery and that the pool which was also all inclusive no longer included the PUMP!!!

Dottie's Mgr. Now ran up to us and nastily offered to call my "bluff and "speak" to "Mike" in Miami to verify what I was telling them... God forbid I would try to scam them!

I accepted his offer to call the Miami store but when he reached them so he said my "Mike" was not in today it was his day off. It was at this time that I decided to cut my losses and drive 80 miles back home without a spa and without a pool.

I spent my Saturday, gas money, and hope of purchasing
"RECREATIONAL ITEMS" in vain. When I got home I went online and found this wonderfull website and feel that warning others about this place of business is my duty as a fellow consumer.
