Fraudulent ripoff con game City of Industry

This happened on 9/11/02 in Boise, ID on Vista Blvd. I got conned in a parking lot near Boise State by two guys in a dark green late model SUV. I had stopped at a sandwich shop on my way to work. Same line of BS: extra speakers from delivery, just a couple of working guys, meeting boss in 1/2 hour, blah blah blah. They said they were making a delivery from Portland, OR.

The fast talker was a white male, about 5' 8", with long dishwater blonde hair. The other guy was skinny, white, about 6', shorter brown hair, short beard, with tattoos, piercings and metal do-hickies in his ears, nose, lower lip, and tongue.

I must have said no 10 times, but they both joined in and kept working me; broke out the receipt and slick looking brochures, swearing up & down the speakers weren't stolen. I relented, the fast talker rode with me to an ATM, and I withdrew the money. This is the last time I get chumped like this.

If a stranger approaches you with a deal on "free speakers", don't make the same mistake I did. However pleasant or good-natured they appear to be, have no doubt; they are swindlers. Try and get any pertinent info such as the license plate number, state, color, make, and model of the vehicle, physical description of the culprits, contact phone, and street address. Keep any literature or receipts they hand you.

These guys appeal to greed. From now on, if my conscience is telling me don't do it, I won't. No matter what anyone says. If I get another shot at this, I'll just drive the scoundrels to the nearest police station and let'em try and sell their bogus speakers to the cops.

I would like to hear if these villains are operating in the Willamette Valley, especially in the I-5 corridor between Salem and Eugene, Oregon. Wouldn't mind running into these scumbags again. Perhaps in the company of some other dissatisfied clientele.
