I attended a foreclosure seminar one night that was hosted by Teach Me Foreclosure. It was held at a Holiday Inn in Plano, TX. Just like the other reports I've read, they had this young guy selling you on the 3-day seminar. I foolishly signed up for it. One day I was on the internet and came across this website for usacomplaints.com, and there was Teach Me Foreclosure posted in plain view. I read some off the reports and decided to get out of this thing before I attended the 3-day class. I called for a refund and they told me that they would have to have a meeting to decide whether to give me a refund or not. The offer they had going that night for the class was $199. I paid $199. I kept calling and finally they told me they had refunded my money back to my credit card account. I checked my account only to find out that they refunded me $99 instead of $199. I immediately called back, and the unlikely story they gave me was that since I lived in the state of Texas, the fee for processing refunds was $100. What state charges that much to process a refund. They told me that this information was stated on the back of my contract/receipt. Now I stand to lose $100 on something that I could have read about and learned. There should be strict laws governing companies running scams like this.
