I noticed my checking account was overdrawn due to a $14.95 charge from Shopping Essentials. My Bank told me Shopping Essentials has charged my account 3 months in a row.
I called Shopping Essentials to dispute the charges. After a lengthy automated system, I finally reached a soulless rep who wanted to verify that she was speaking to the correct person. The rep said my co-workers name. I told her no, your company has made a mistake, I never signed up for this program and that is not my name and I never authorized Shopping Essentials to use my debit account. She passed me to a "manager"
The manager was extremley condesending and made me feel like I was making it up by saying "I suppose we'll take your word for it that you did not authorize these transactions and credit you 2 of the charges, the one from this month is still pending so it will drop off."
When I began asking questions as to how they could charge my account with out the proper name and that I never recieved any confirmation that I signed up, the manager became irate, said I was yelling at him, refused to give me his supervisor and hung up.
