Furniture Not recieved for over 8 months - cannot get in touch with owner New York

In June I placed an order for furniture with Neil, the owner of North Carolina Furniture. I was told 6-8 weeks and gave 50% of the price up front. I have received several reasons for the delay including, manufacturer delay, shipping delay, damanged furniture, missing pieces. Most recently I talked to the owner Neil Baser and he told me he would care for it. That was 2 months ago.

During the past month, the voice mail has been full, and now it disconnects. I spoke to the lawyer that incorporated the company Melvin B. Berford who told me he heard they closed but he is not associated with Neil. This lawyer is listed as to where to send information from the state of NY. I am trying to locate Neil. It appears I am not the first to have this problem.

I just did a search on US Search and now have some leads for several Neil Baser's in NY area. I would be glad to share this.

Neil told me his wife was ill, and this was the reason for the latest delay.

Others that answered the phone in the past have been Natasha and Vanessa.

Anyone knowing how to contact Neil - please let me know.

I have filed a complaint with the NY BBB.
