On 8/6/02 i noticed a charge of $54.95 on my mastercard to a company i did not recognize. I notified my MC provider thru an ERROR IN BILLING form and sent it by land mail.
On 8/30/02 i rec'd a letter from my MC provider crediting my acct. The amount owed. (GLOBALINX)
On 9/8/02 another charge of $54.90 was charged to the same acct. (phonelinx)$. 05 difference from last. I filed another error report. I had NO IDEA who these companies were and could not speak to anyone on their web site. I can only believe that i used my card # to verify my age not to be used for charging. The situation is still being investigated by my bank.
I rec'd an email today (10/9) from PHONELINX stating they were notified by their bank "that they MAY have placed the incorrect customer service tel.# on your credit card statement for changes from GLOBALINX to your PHONELINX services, for this they apologize." this was the first contact i had from them re: this matter. Thier phone # 888-798-5200. This is still unresolved!
