Mailed $75 money order 8/23/02 for 200 catalogs to stuff and mail, for a guaranteed pay of $10/catalog. Never received anything.
I received a mailer from Halifax Communications, stating that they urgently needed catalog mailers for their business. This letter stated that you can earn from $1000 to $5000 every week, and that if you accepted your order today, the first paycheck would be in your hands in 10 days. They promised a rate of $10 per catalog mailed, and that it was 100% guaranteed.
You were given the choice of mailing 100,200, 300, or 500 catalogs, for this company. It also stated that after having received 3 paychecks from them, you would receive a full refund.in my case, I chose the 200 catalog package, and sent them a money order for the required $75. They stated that it would be mailed immediately if you sent a money order, as opposed to having to wait for a check to clear before shipping, should you choose to send them a check instead.
I am a single mom on very limited income, looking for legitimate work at home, and this seemed sincere. I sacrificed to invest that $75 to get started with this "job" as one of Halifax's mailers. I got screwed, and I'm out $75 hard-earned bucks.
