Withdrew money from my checking account without authorization. Online Based Internet

I was attemptin to get a apyday loan and while going through the process the screen popped up for this identity theft insurance. The next day I was balancing my checkbook online and saw a charge that I did not authorize. I called my bank immediately and they gave me the weebsite and the phone number of the company. I then called the company, I escalated my call to two different supervisors and was told that they could not help me until I filed a police report and that it was the only way they could refund the money. They would then have to prove that I did not authorize the charges.
