Employees: if you happen to recieve a random phone call from a man named Mr. Al Lazrus at 9 am hang up the phone before he gets into his heartwarming story about the great Aaron Katsman and His lovely wife. He will wheel you by letting you know that this is not like any other job out there. No Sales, office with a bunch of amazing girls around your age, and huge benefits. He will let you know that there is a great package including 401K, health benefits that of course generous Mr. Katsman pays for, chance for promotions, and of course the line that the real estate business is miserable right now but Katsman is always busy!
After the phone call you are set up with an interview with Al's lovely wife. Once in the office you will be overwhelmed by the fact that they have about 13 girls packed into a 12x15 room. While sitting in the interview you will nod and smile your way into this what you think wonderful job because of course you won't be able to talk cause Al's wife will be talking about herself and how busy she always is the whole time. If you get lucky you will get to meet Sharon who is introduced as the grandma who watches over everyone because she cares.
After the interview youy will have to report back to Al and bam the next day you will have the job. All sounds awesome right? Wrong... You get the job and realize what an organized mess the office really is. No one has the time to train you properly so you are forced into the world of real estate with no clue but when you mess up its only your fault. You will be told you are aloud to take a lunch break but when you actually get up and leave for it they talk behind your back and you will get called into the conference room if you are even a second late.
Basically lunch at this office is eating the same as everyone at your deak while you are working. Benefits, 401k, promotions ha if you have the nerve to go up to Mr. Aaron Katsman who locks himself away in his office and ask for them all hmm then maybe if your lucky the followin month he will start you on one. Promotions don't really happen you do get a raise after a year but thats if you make it that long.
The day normally consists of getting in at 8:50 while some can come in between 10 and 11, answer the phones which ring off the hook because everyone is too busy to answer them but if you don't you will be looked down upon, listen to Al's wife complain about everything she does, everyone she works with on loans, and how much she is obessed with her kids and her house, You will watch Sharon pretend to work when really she is just emailing her family, Each memeber of her family will call teh office atleast 10x a day which makes up most of her work day besides the times she sneaks away to watch her grandchildren which you will get to know as well.
Work she does none and gives it to everyone around her to do so if something goes wrong she can blame everyone else but herself. Half of all the websites on the internet are blocked because if you dare not go on any program but something related to work they will fire you on the spot meanwhile everyone else aorund you are constantly on the internet but they don't count you should know better.
You will also wonder why everything is so sneaky around the office and why sharon and wendy are constantly in Aarons office its one of two things Aaron is yelling about the 5 cents extra he had to pay because some clicked priorty overnight instead of standard or its them discussing which employee they are going to fire next. If you do not fit into the standards that Sharon or Wendy have or if Aaron is losing money watch your back because they will randomly fire you and claim its just not working.
They will not give you a real reason why its just basically what they can pull out of there ass fast enough. This is not a place you want to work, a career at mcdonalds is happier then this place. They will stress you out, make you miserable and then fire you no matter how much they claim to love you. Beware people about 7 people a year get fired from this place and normally its before a chance you can recieve unemployment.
If you do take the job learn from this: be quiet, don't ever go on the internet, never take a lunch, never call out sick unless you been there for a year, constantly ask if anyone needs help, never let them know you are bored, and asked nicely about benefits and things because they might fire you right away. Processors, Banks, Mortgage Brokers and clients who have to deal with Aaron Katsman office for a loan beware.
They talk about everyone behind the scene but once they are on the phone with you they are your best friends. They will treat you clients as if they are dumb and will claim to only want to speak with their lawyers who they complain about as well. They complain about all the work they have to do and swear they are the best law firm around. If things come back unsigned its okay most of them were art majors in college. Good luck doing business with the money hungry office!
