Pushy, Unclear, Deceitful, Liars, No Explinations that make sense, Feeling like I am being taken for a ride

I am currently going through some of what the other people that have filed reports already. I got a phone call asking me if I would like to go to school online. Obviously, I have been researching this and talking to some other coleges online also.

SOMEHOW, these people at this college not only got a grant through what they referred to as "partner businesses", they also got my federal student loans for $7,500 AND APPLIED FOR A WACHOVIA LOAN FOR $3,004 WITHOUT ME EVEN KNOWING THEY DID THIS.

So, I call my "Counsellor" and ask what the $11,056.80 was for and why did I have a balance of almost the same amount still due. I am told that is the tuition for a year for "two classes a year"!!! $21,630 was the total amount for one year of two classes and to top it all off they wanted me to apply for additional loans to pay for the remaining amount or they would just de-excellerate me to one class and then "they will figure something out on Monday. But still go through the orientation (which requires a program Enrollment Confirmation, this is preceded by a statement that says;"If you have any questions regarding the program you are enrolled, or if the information regarding your program enrollment below is inaccurate, please close out of the orientation sesseion and contact your admissions advisor so that we can promptly answer your questions and make any necessary adjustments before you proceed with orientation." and go to class."

I was rushed off the phone and told to just do the orientation and go to class and on Monday they will figure something out!?!?!?!?!?! How is that answering my questions and why am I agreeing to anything before the actuals have been established and I fully understand what I am going to be doing? There is a class schedule placed on the site that tells of all the classes I am enrolled in and it appears that it is one class per month for the entire year and it includes classes that I already have taken at one or both of the other two colleges (brick and morter) that I attended in the last five years (I go part time like two classes a semester because of my back problems I can't physically handle those two let alone any additional classes.

I like the idea of going to school online. However, I am receiving my course materials before I even agreed to go to this college in writing. Something doesn't make sense here and after reading all the other complaints on this site, I am thinking I need to do something before I get roped into owing money for something I didn't do or didn't authorize based on ALL the information I should be given to make a reliable concious decision.

$11,000 for 12,1 month classes. HMMMMMM? Something isn't right here. A loan from Wachovia that I didn't apply for nor do I know what the interest rates are for that loan BECAUSE I DIDN'T APPLY FOR IT. You see, I went to Wachovia online and filled out an applications for a student loan and got turned down. So, imagine my surprise when I get to the part of the sight that deals with financials and see a loan on there awarded to ME for $3,004.00!!!

This notice is placed above the financial aid awards.
Important: Your estimated financial aid award cannot be processed until you have accepted this award and all requested documents have been received by the Financial Aid office.
I contacted both my advisor and a financial aid advisor and got nowhere. I was told to finish my orientation and go to class they would figure it out later. I know they do not have a dispursment date until 2/20/08. Which is odd considering... Award Year: 08
Academic Year: 1/6 - 9/23
Institutional Charges: $11,056.00

This is my Program Award Summry

Total Cost: $21,630.00

Less First Year Financial Aid $11,056.80

Less Second Year Financial Aid TBD... (to be determined)

Equals Remaining Balance of $10,573.20

Then leave me a message saying one of our FA Advisors will contact you within six months to assist in preparation of your "next" (Like I could afford to even do the first) Academic Year Financial Aid.

How can they do this and now what do I do to get out of it???
