I have been employed with Impact Resource Group since June. Recently I have encountered a payroll issue that has jeopardized my faith in the company and my confidence in the IRG management.
I am on a bi-weekly pay period and from June-October I have received accurate compensation for two weeks worth of work. From November to now I have only received money on a bi-weekly basis for one week's work. For instance, for the pay period ending December 23, I only received compensation from December 3-6.
I thought that there may be an issue or glitch in the system and that I would in the next pay period get compensation for three weeks but since I continue to get only one week of pay on a bi-weekly basis. This has resulted in an average of $500.00 of earnings per month and at least $2,000.00 in back pay due.
I have spoken with my Service Coordinator and Payroll. I have left voicemail messages for in the Atlanta office and have never received a call back. The situation has yet to be rectified and has caused many hardships on my family of three.
I have not been able to uphold the financial obligations that I have entered into including my leasing agreement. My family and I are pending an eviction in two weeks for lack of payment.
I have begun to investigate my legal rights regarding this situation and am aware that I entered into an agreement with IRG to get paid for two weeks worth of work on a bi-weekly period. If I am not receiving compensation accurately and have notified the party of the discrepancy and it has been ignored, legal action can be taken. I have been caused undue stress because of this matter and hope that it can be rectified in a timely manner.
