This company is going out of business soon according to an insider that does the books there. I purchased another system from a long time sales rep from this company, but when the system was delivered a new person by the name of Jason installed it. I asked about the old sales rep, but he nervously said he got fired. They also sent out libelous letters to each customer stating that this sales rep was under investigation, and because of the investigation they couldn't comment on it.

As a long time customer of this sales rep this is completely and totally untrue. I have since been in contact with this sales rep and it turns out he gave a resignation date and gave them 5 weeks of notice. He also told me that there were many of these customers that contacted him suggesting to sue this company for defamation of character.

Anyways, I let Jason at Tulsabiz install the new system. You can tell he was very new at this and didn't have many answers about the operation of the machine. Because of my experience around these machines I knew what needed to be done and sent him on his way.

Fast forward two weeks. My new machine gave me an error code PH 2146, and told me to look in the owner's manual for definition. I couldn't find the manual, and realized I didn't get one with my machine, so I called Tulsabiz and asked for it. Jason again nervously told me that I needed to talk to the owner, Craig Scott about it.

After several minutes on hold I finally was talking to the owner. He told me that I needed to buy the manual from him for $40. This is when my head about exploded from what I was hearing. I was told that their manuals are not free any longer and that I needed to buy it or pay the outrageous $160 an hour for Jason to come out. This didn't make sense after paying $12,500 for this system.

I called DataCard Corporate and told them what happened. They didn't believe me at first, but told me that they would take care of this problem. About 3 hours later I got a call from Jason stating that he would send me the manual. I did get the manual a few days later, but couldn't believe their business practices.

I told the previous sales rep this story and he said he's heard of two other situations like this since he's been gone. It's truely unbelievable how greedy and ruthless those people are.

My school district will NOT spend another dollar with Tulsa Business Machines as long as I'm calling the shots.
