In October I enrolled in University of Phoenix (UoPx) online to continue obtaining my degree for business administration. However I have taken two courses and have realized that something is wrong.
1) They claim to be great for poeple who work. However this is soo untrue. I work 10 sometimes 12 hr days. And have to come home and do these "forums" and "learning groups" which it is impossible for you to get anything done unless you work chained to your desk on a computer with internet access. Because it takes atleast 5 hrs to really get any research, reading, etc to get things done.
2) They do not tell you that this is a fast track program. They start their week on tuesday, want you to have an assignment done by wednesday and one on friday. Okay I work in the dental field. And those of you that know how dentistry is also know that it runs in line with the medical profession. Which makes it almost impossible to keep up with any kind of classes structured that way. Then on top of that. Their classes are almost 1500 for 5 wks of class... WTF!!! I can spend 5 weeks in a community college and spend way less and have a better quality of information. I've been ripped off!!! I have learned from these classes what not to do in business jst from the way that they handle business. I too would join any class action law suit against them.
