Linda Marks is owner of Special Publications, Inc. And publisher of Ocala Magazine and Ocala Home Magazine. Penny Miller is a sales rep for Ocala Magazine and Ocala Home Magazine. Mark Wise is publisher of Gainesville Today Magazine, a licensed magazine owned by Linda Marks.
Several companies have placed ads in these magazines, however the magazines have breached their contracts. Companies pay extra for special placement, usually 10%-15% extra, but the magazines have breached their contracts by not placing the ads in the correct spot, month after month. To add to this, they even run the wrong ads.
To other companies reading this, please be aware of what Linda Marks has done and perhaps do a direct mail campaign or advertise in the newspapers instead of in these magazines. Or try other avenues, like some of the more reputable magazines in town (Ocala Style Magazine and Gainesville Magazine).
